Lyrical Friday

What to say about Madonna? She has had a wonderfully long career starting in 1983.  She just released her 12th album this year titled MDNA.  I like that she has a variety and knows how to change with the world around her. It has made her relevant through decades. I have yet to hear her newer music but have several of her albums. I find nostalgia in most of her older music.

Click on over to watch on YouTube, it is a great video and fun flashback to the 90’s!

Frozen from the 1998 Madonna album, Ray of Light

Frozen

You only see what your eyes want to see
How can life be what you want it to be
You’re frozen
When your heart’s not open

You’re so consumed with how much you get
You waste your time with hate and regret
You’re broken
When your heart’s not open

Ommmmm, if I could melt your heart
Ommmmm, we’d never be apart
Ommmmm, give yourself to me
Ommmmm, you hold the key

Now there’s no point in placing the blame
And you should know I suffer the same
If I lose you
My heart will be broken

Love is a bird, she needs to fly
Let all the hurt inside of you die
You’re frozen
When your heart’s not open

Ommmmm, if I could melt your heart
Ommmmm, we’d never be apart
Ommmmm, give yourself to me
Ommmmm, you hold the key

You only see what your eyes want to see
How can life be what you want it to be
You’re frozen
When your heart’s not open

Ommmmm, if I could melt your heart
Ommmmm, we’d never be apart
Ommmmm, give yourself to me
Ommmmm, you hold the key

Ommmmm, if I could melt your heart
Ommmmm, we’d never be apart
Ommmmm, give yourself to me
Ommmmm, you hold the key

If I could melt your heart

  1. I was going to use the same song for my blog, but it will have to wait until another time!! Ray Of Light was an outstanding (pop) alb, and for me, the best of hers. Frozen is immense. It’s also a favourite on the playlist at my Body Balance classes. xJ
